The way the system is set up at the moment leaves it open for much abuse.
Yesterday somebody from the corp Made In Poland, who honestly wasn't very good and would have been killed by me in MLT gear with 0 SP on a MLT AR if he didn't have a logi repairing him the entire game... was able to get about 4 OBs just by taking damage whilst stacking armour and having a logi in his squad heal him.
The logi who had the defend order on him received triage and guardian points, the squad leader then in turn received commission points.
All he had to do was take damage, strafe in and out of cover, then press X and get free kills.
Any advance by my team was not determined by skill or tactics, it was a case of waiting for our entire team to be blown up, pushed back and repeat.
I'm sure CCP, that this is not how you want your game to be played. I don't know what amount of work it will take but the WP gain/OB system needs to be reworked, it will need a lot of parameters and variables and will most likely be hard to implement but it's getting to the point where I'm seeing somebody cheating almost every game.
There are far too many exploits in this game to make it consistently enjoyable.
Snipers can easily sit 450m away from you, invisible, untouchable because they're behind the redline. And there's nothing you can do about it unless you want to forget about what you wanted to do that game, happen to be specced into snipers rifles and want to hunt him down the whole game.
Also people shouldn't be able to camp on roofs, pipes, anything from a high height, all they do is sit up there on hives, scan you and spam down at you. It's no fun having to fight like that.
The maps are too big, it would probably save on memory and improve frame rate if they were smaller, mainly to stop people sniping behind the redline but it would also stop the action being so broken up and also stop Skirmish from feeling like Domination where everyone plays exclusively at one objective because they are all too far apart.
One other thing, the headshot noise is too loud! It makes playing late at night impossible! And ruins videos too, it's just too loud. |
